deaf?

and when i said no, it wasn’t a suggestion
there were no nuances to my no.
all that i ask is that you hear her out next time

so when you say you love her
she will feel
liberated.
loved.
heard.

i hope life treats you better than it has before
i hope you stop hurting the people you love
and i hope you learn to listen
