Who are we?

Philologia is an undergraduate research journal housed in and operated by the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences (CLAHS) at Virginia Tech.

The publication features creative pieces and research conducted by students who have academic majors in CLAHS. Philologia is devoted to publishing quality and scholarly research articles from the diverse group of disciplines that span the College. Published articles include an array of subjects, such as literature, linguistics, international relations, political policy, sociology, music, and modern culture amongst other areas in the liberal arts and human sciences field.

The editorial team aims to celebrate the value and scope of the liberal arts education, and showcase the importance of undergraduate research in the field. The importance of publication cannot be underestimated – Philologia hopes to inspire and create a platform for students to showcase their work. The success of the journal speaks to the versatility and importance of research in the fields of liberal arts and human sciences.
